Consignment contract

Hi All,

When I create a consignment contract the system does not allow me to enter a price in the contract. When settlement run is executed (MRKO) it always picks the price from the consignment info record.

Can someone please tell me if the price is always picked from consignment info record what purpose does consignment contract serve?
