Hi All,
My requirement is to trigger a batch derivation while saving a sub contracting order that will be issued to contract packagers.
I have defined a customer's own batch derivation event in the DVC8.
I need to call this event while saving a subcontracting order.I have found an user exit in Purchase order screen for this. But need to know how would I need to call this event for the batch derivation to happen while saving the subcontracting order.

Hi,
Batch can be created manually in create/change purchase order screen in the Material data tab of item details by clicking on the create batch icon. Enhancement we are working on is to copy the batch information from components to the header material when the purchase order is saved(using user exit).
Hope this answers your queries.

About which finished product batch information in the subcontract order are you talking?
The batch will be created with the receipt.
Or you enter a batch in the PO after you created it in MSC1N, there is no provision to create a new batch from within the purchase order

Hi,
In our scenario, when subcontracting orders are issued to the contract packagers, the bulk manufacturing date and expiration date need to be communicated to go ahead with the packaging.
Hence the expectation is when saving the subcontracting orders, the bulk batch information information need to get copied to finished product batch information in the subcontracting order.
