Integration of SAP GUI with SAP Web UI in 7.0?

Hi Everybody ,

Wanted to ask how do we integrate SAP GUI with SAP Web UI in 7.0?Are these two different logical systems or Web UI is embedded in GUI itself? Will be waiting for the answer very soon.

Webui is different interface to view SAP CRM data. You can start webui from gui using transaction CRM_UI.

Just one more thing that I am looking for.It means that whatever customization we do in SAP GUI suppose say putting high in priority field in spro,will it be reflected automatically in the WEB user Interface????

And do we need to transport the different request for WEB UI from dev to qas or qas to prod or it will be done automatically once I transport the SAP GUI requests......??????

Hi Puneet,

Yes, you could see the changes in webui for related customizing entries (thats normal).

Transport request are normal ERP transport requests - just take care of the customizing in advance that the mandant is a development one.

Hi,

there are no separate transport requests for WEBUI.

So your customizing in SPRO will have effects directly to WEBUI.

One thing you need to know: After transport of a customizing or workbench request you have to restart the WebUI in the browser.

Hi,

in CRM70 the WebUI is the one and only userinterface for the endusers.

The SAP GUI in CRM is only for administrators.

You could integrate SAP GUI transactions from different systems (ERP, CRM, RM, etc.) into Webclient UI.

In standard SAP this is done using the transaction launcher (ITS) - but there are also some concepts from consulting companies to integrate the SAP GUI without ITS.
