Logon Pad for 7.20 Quits Immediately

Hello,

I just installed SAP GUI 7.20 on a machine and now any time I try to launch the Logon Pad or the SAP GUI Configuration, you see the SAP splash screen for a split-second and then it disappears.

SAP will not run, and if you look in Task Manager, the program is not running.

Any ideas?

The machine it is on is Windows 7.

I need to urgently fix this issue today if possible.

Thanks!

What version of Windows 7?

Only "Professional", "Ultimate" and "Enterprise" editions are supported.

Also, any virus software running? Look at the log and see if for some reason the executeable is being stopped once initiated.

Regards,

Zecher

The only thing that worked is I uninstalled 7.2, removed all relevant ini files in both the "Common Files" folder as well as the ones that were in C:\Windows. I then installed version 7.1 and then version 7.2.

In retrospect simply reinstalling 7.2 might have worked, after cleaning the files off, but I was trying to be sure.

Thanks for your help, all.

Did you get any errors during the install? Check C:\program files\sap\sapsetup is there an 'Errors' folder at that level?

Are you logged on with local admin rights? If not do so and see if that makes a difference in getting it to run.

Last the obvious ... try a reboot.

Good luck!
