Hii Experts,

I Have a Scenario in our plant.. where we r using Both Startegy 10-MTS and 20-MTO for some materials...in our company we use run MRP at plant level and Sales team use to enter order daily for which a seperate background job runs everyday..... along with monthly once long term planning...

Here i have a packing material 200**** which is dependent requirement for FG 4000**** the production plan through rough cut planning of FG this month is 15000 and also packing mateial should be around 15000 since 1:1 in BOM... but i am getting packaging quantiy in lakhs.. because of these purchasing departent is complaining...the quantities r coming wrong in MD04.. i identified this packaging material is also consumed in another 5 Fg's for some of which there is open sales order in system...... my question is that whether these quatities r coming because of sales order entered by sales team... in such case how can i avoid.. these without affecting business...in case of more details please ask.

Regards,

Sampath.

Hi,

If sales order material having packing material i BOM then it always trigger the requirement, and it correct also because this quantity require to make production.

But i think you want to take requirement only by Rough cut plan & u making it manually by md61.

in this case only two things can be made

1. u can made setting in MD61 so dependent require consume your rough cut plan so maximum of both will come on picture, but in this case if dependent requiremnt is much then it trigger req in MRP other wise req is equal to rough cut plan.

2. If you not want to consider any how dependent req & not want to see it then go to BOM of sales order material bom & change item category of packing material BOM component from L to N. then it not come but in this case deficiate may be hppen if your manual plan not proper.

Thanks

Hi,

Go to MD62 , user parameter (F5), then check consumption tab.

Consumption indictaor & take appropite selection, i suggest '3' .

so SOP consumed by dpendent req & other & u get requirement for max of SOP or dependent.

but if u want to avoid sales req fully then see my upper post & change item category of component from L to N.

Thanks

In cs02 check once again whether the base qty and component qty is same ( 1:1)

If yes,

go to MD04

for dependent requirement - go to MRP element and display you can find the production order no, & check the component qty is correct.

my question is that whether these quantities r coming because of sales order entered by sales team

Generally sale order will trigger the requirement to dependent level, this is correct only

Dear sampath,

are you want the sale order requirement to pass into production or not

I Have a Scenario in our plant.. where we r using Both Startegy 10-MTS and 20-MTO for some materials...in our company we use run MRP at plant level and Sales team use to enter order daily for which a seperate background job runs everyday..... along with monthly once long term planning...

is it mean are you using 10 and 20 for same material?

Hi sundaresan,

Thanks for the response.. we are using strategy 20 with indiv/coll requiremnt 1 in MRP 4 in the material master... but the requirement is to fulfil both the local market and the export orders..... required suggestion.

Thanks

Dear Sampath,

Kindly change the schedule line category to CN from CP in the procurement tab in the open sale orders of FG material from which requirements are coming for packing material . After this do the MRP run for the FG material with planning mode 3

hope it helps.
