EVDRE encountered an error occurs while communicating with web server

I am ok in running evdre report before we upgrade to SP06, after we upgrade, I receive the above message when running evdre report, however my co-worker is ok to run the same report, on him computer, I am on Vista and he is using Window 7.

is SP06 can only run on Window 7?

    I just installed the BPC on another window 7 computer, it also receive the same error message, so it looks like it's not relates to the operation system but some thing else.

    Hi,

    Do you face the same problem with the dynamic templates also?

    Make sure that your EVDRE function shows OK.

    Yes, all the standard template have the same problem with computers from two consultant and the other consultant's computer is fine for all the report. it's a computer related problem.

    Have you tried to reinstall your BPC client?

    We reinstalled the BPC several times and we have three consultant with the same Excel version of 2007, two use Widow 7 and one use Vista, only one consultant's computer with window 7 can run the report without the error, the other two will receive the same error of "EVDRE encountered an error occurs while communicating with web server"

    The Excel 2007 's version is not teh same but we did the update from Microsoft web side.

      1. Login into BPC for Admin

      2. Once logged into your Appset , open the Dimension library

      3. Process each dimension by selecting the "Process members from membersheet" and by unchecking the "Take system offline" option

      4. Process all the dimensions one by one not together.

      5. Once processing the dimensions is done then open the Applications and Modify each Application by adding or changing the Application Description.

      6. Once done modifying Applications then logout of the BPC Admin and BPC Excel.

      7. Login back again into BPC for Excel by going through the connection wizard.

    We have tried all the method include reinstall BPC, process diemension, optimozed application etc. none of them work.

    This is a user's computer related error, some user's computer recieved this error, while others works fine.
