HRMD_A IDoc not created for every change pointer...

Hello there,

I have observed the strangest phenomenon in our production system. We have an interface to an external payroll system to which we send HRMD_A messages for all changes in our HR master data. The problem is that we have observed that some times an IDoc is created from a change pointer and sometime it is not. This is very odd as the two change pointers may indicate the exact same change but for different PERNR's. For PERNR A an IDoc gets created and for PERNR B the IDoc is not created.

I am not able to reproduce this behaviour manually in the production system and not in the qality system either. That is if I attempt to create the change again in production, the second time the IDoc will be created, but the first time it did not get created. So I am wondering where to start looking for what is causing this behaviour. Any ideas? The only explanation I can think of is that for some reason the change pointer is erroneously updated as processed even though it wasn't processed, but that doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.

Best regards,

Anders
