Schema Contains Sub Schemas (Each Sub Schema Performs different Activity of caluculation ) Schemas are country defined especially PY Schemas . Comeing to Time Schemas They are universal as said by the other expert
In case if you want to learn the PCRs which are inserted in Sub Schemas firstly try to learn the standrad PCRs in the System
For both Time and Payroll. later go Custome Defined PCRs
Ex: in case of Indian Payroll Try to learn Arrears PCRs IN42 43 44 . INP1 , XVAL
execute payroll run for one employee and try to check the log of the emplohyee under these PCRs
Good Luck

Dear Tanya,
Schema is a combination of Subschemas, Functions, PCRs.
PCR is a personnel calcluation Rule - where we develop logic for the calculations.(its a combination of Operations)
It is necessary to maintain separate schema for Time and Payroll.
In time mgt - Schema calculates- daily working time, period working time, absence, absence quota, over time....
(it never calculate the salary) these are TM00, TM01, TQTA, TM04
in payroll - Schema calculates- Standard pay, recurring pay, additional pay, bonus, other benefits and statutory deductions.
Both are schemas are interlinked.
with ZLIT in the payroll schema.
ZL-Time Results stored in this table. it transfer the time results to the payroll table to IT
ZLIT
Thank u
