Session Release Agent does not work with IISPROXY

Former Member

We have IISPROXY version 1.6.0 and EP 6.0 sp2 patch3. The url

http://sap-portal.bentley.com is our "IISPROXY" site which points to

http://sapepp01.bentley.com:50000/irj. If we log into the

http://sapepp01.bentley.com:50000/irj site directly, EP's session

release agent works fine -- we can terminate IE 6.0 and see the R/3 and

CRM backend server sessions terminate. If we go through the IISPROXY

site http://sap-portal.bentley.com, the session release agent does not

work. After terminating IE 6.0, the sessions (through ITS and BSP's)

are still active. I searched the notes, but cannot find anything with

regards to this error. I will upgrade to EP 6.0 sp2 patch5 to see if

the patch fixes the problem, but I'm not confident that it will since I

don't see it in any of the OSS notes.

Hello Mel,

there is a Note on this topic: 696294.

Have also a look at my Weblog: https://weblogs.sdn.sap.com/pub/wlg/921. [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] It describes how to Configure a Logoff URL. I hope this is the solution to your problem.

Hi Gregor,

Thanks for your response, but I did a little more testing and here is what I found.

When I bring up a BSP iView in portal and navigate away from it to another portal menu item, the backend sessions on the backend SAP CRM server for that BSP iView remains open. When I display a BSP iView and terminate the portal browser, the sessions on the CRM server remain open.

It appears that this problem only occurs with BSP iViews and not with ITS iViews. I only have these two types of iViews. Again, this only happens when I go through the IISPROXY and not when accessing the portal site directly.

The BSP iViews are located on the server: SAPCRP01.BENTLEY.COM:80

The ITS iViews are located on the server SAPEPP01.BENTLEY.COM:80

The direct portal URL is: http://sapepp01.bentley.com:50000/irj

I'll do some more investigation on BSP's and the IISPROXY.

Thanks for your help.
