Unable to create CR base on BW Query.

Dear All expert,

I need to create a CR base on a BW query. But eventhough I had chekc the checkbox "alow external access to this query" in BW analyzer, I still unable to see it in CR, SAP BW MDX Query. Previously I had created some CR base on BW query before. Only this time I am unable to create CR base on this particular query.

Can someone advice me on this?

Is the user you are using to connect to SAP BW from your CR Designer able to see the query if you use it to open eg. the Query Designer?

Have you tried to create the report using the SAP Toolbar in the CR Designer? This is the recommended way.

Hi Stratos,

The user I am using have the full authority where I can see the query in the query designer. And I had try the method as suggested by you where I create the CR base on BW query through the SAP tab. But it prompt me this error: Com Exception caught in CExtToolBar::GenerateTemplateHelper(). HR = 0x80010105.

Hi All,

I am getting the same error when trying to create a Crystal Report on a particular BEx query by using the SAP menu in Crystal Reports.

When I access InfoArea "A" and select a query it works fine. When I want to create a report off InfoArea "B" I get the COM exception caught in CExtToolBar error.

We have assigned SAP_ALL and SAP_NEW authorisations, bnut still the issue with the particular InfoArea gives an error.

Any help appreciated.
