Measures - Periodic Vs QTD Vs YTD

Hi experts,

I have got a doubt regarding the YTD, QTD and periodic. what to use when.

When User will be planning using the input schedule, He will select as "Periodic".

For the Annual Financial statement, Measure need to select YTD, but when user do that, system rejects.

Could you explain which measure to use when and how??
