Measures - Periodic Vs QTD Vs YTD

Hi experts,

I have got a doubt regarding the YTD, QTD and periodic. what to use when.

When User will be planning using the input schedule, He will select as "Periodic".

For the Annual Financial statement, Measure need to select YTD, but when user do that, system rejects.

Could you explain which measure to use when and how??

thanks

    Hi,

There is no thumb rule on which measure to use while reporting. It all depends on the way you want to see the data. If you want to see periodic data, then the measure should be periodic. If you want to see year to date data, then the measure should be YTD.

As, you said, when you change the measure to YTD, the system rejects. Can you explain this please. What is exactly happening?
