What is scope of Abaper in Netweaver ??

Hi,

Firstly thanks to all to make this valuable site with lots of info for anyone who wants to move into Netweaver.

I need some help , I am an abapper planning to move into Netweaver, With my initial investigations and some of e-learnings in this site, I have understood that moving into Netweaver scoopes down an abapper's role as other Java architects could also handle the same work significantly.{ Am I right??}

Is it not a threat to those abappers who have been doing coding only in some modules of SAP ?

Pls correct me if my initial findings are wrong, or what should I as SAP Developer be focussing when I am moving into Netweaver.

Hope This question can clear bunch of those people who are on the edge but not sure about moving into Netweaver.
