How to get Activity cost zero in M. O. without getting costing error.

Hi Guru Ji,

My client wants work duration in Maintenance order but dont want Activity cost. If I maintain the activity type of workcenter as zero, costing error status pop up at the time of order release.

If i maintain the activity type 1 paisa, some cost will be introduce to order.

Can there is any way, so that we can have work duration in maintenance order, without getting any cost.

Note: We are confirming using collective order confirmation method & pulling the actual data maintained in Maintenance order while confirming.

Have you tried by maintaining Zero Price in KP26 against activity & cost center?

Sir,

As i told you earlier, if I maintain the activity type & costcenter combination in KP26 as zero then we get CSER error as Activity type zero rate isnot permissible.

Anysetting in value categories for the desired result.

Or if we create the unit of measure of activity type as year so that impact will be reduce to paisa, can any one try like this.

Hi,

Maintenance Orders costs are calculated based on following things.

1. Costing Variant definition

2. Vauation Variant creation

3. Assigning Costing Variant to the PM Order Types

If you have not configured this part in IMG, I hope cost will not calculated.

Plant Maintenance and Customer Service -> Maintenance and Service Orders -> Functions and Setting for Order Types -> Costing Data for Maintenance and Service Orders -> Assign Costing Parameters and Results Analysis Keys

Remove the costing variant for the order type.

Hi Santosh

If you are using internal control key so you can uncheck option of costing in Control key or you can also make changes in costing variants in which make activity price determination option as Blank (ie no price determination).

1)By maintaining activity type with base unit year & maintaining activity rate as 0.01 paisa, solved my problem.

2)Other option of removing cost element assignment to value categories, i think may raise costing error.

3)Option third also helpful by deactivating cost relevant.
