Installing AFS add-on with ECC-DIMP activated

Hi all,

I've a SAP ERP 6.0 EHP4 system with ECC-DIMP activated.

I'd like to install using SAINT AFS add-on (Note 1269429 - Installation / Delta upgrade of SAP AFS 604).

When I try to calculate queue with SAINT there is this error:

"Industry Extension ECC-DIMP must not be activated"

In the note is reported conflict in case of upgrade of add-on AFS with DIMP but not incompatibilty in installation.

SPAM has been updated to the last patch level.

Any idea to bypass this check ?

Hi Manera,

Could you please share your all component information .As per this note there is some restriction for installing P3A V604

on ECC-DIMP activated .Could you please check below note:

"If you have already installed P3A in the system and planning to upgrade

ECC-DIMP or IS-M or IS-OIL to a higher support package level , import

might stop asking for CRT's.In this case please remove ECC-DIMP or IS-M or IS-OIL support packages from the import queue which have conflicts or please get in contact with SAP before the upgrade.

P3A V604 has technical restrictions to work with some specific support packs of above mentioned components hence your system might not work after the upgrade."

Dimp was activated same times ago but is not used.

No I need to install AFS but with SAINT and I'm locked during installation since DIMP is activated.

In note 1269429 seems AFS has some restrictions with DIMP but installation is possible.

Have you a solution ?

Hi,

Since you have already activated one Industry solution, so, you cannot install another industry solution.

You check check SAP note 1269428 which clearly states that if you have activated ECC-DIMP on the system,so, you cannot install AFS on the system.

So, you need to install separate system for AFS add-on.
