Has anyone already worked with idoc Type SYIDOC01, message type SYIDOC? Is there any way to use this Idoc to post idoc types that do not exist in an EBP SRM 3.0 system? If so, which process code should be used?
thanks in advance,
Raquel.
Hi Raquel,
Sorry, but there is NO process code prepared in SAP for the SYIDOC message. This message is specifically used to transfer an IDoc definition from one system to another (or to collect it from SAP using some form of RFC call).
So in this case you need to design your own process code.
We have used it to transfer IDoc definitions from an SAP ERP system to a SAP CRM system (but the techniques are quite the same).
If you want more details, just ask.

Rob.

Thank you Rob.
So, is there any automatic way to transfer the Idoc structure and all related objects from R/3 to SRM? Should I use this Idoc type SYIDOC and create my own process code to post the idoc definition and then manually create the objects related to my Idoc type in SRM, which means follow the steps of creating a new idoc type, or is there any faster way to import everything into SRM?
thank you and best regards,
Raquel.
Hi Rob,
I read your reply, and this is exactly what I need to do. I am trying to transfer the ORDERS05 IDOC definition from a 4.6C system, to a SRM-EBP system.
I looked around in SE37, and saw the function module EDI_CREATE_SYIDOC01. Is this the proper function to use when designing the custom process code? Also, did you have to create your own function to call EDI_CREATE_SYIDOC01, or can this function be used directly?
Thanks,
Marc
Hi Rob,
I have a situation where I have a CRM system which has work orders and sales orders which need to be transfered to an SRM / EBP system. Do you know what would be the best way to get this done.
We do have an Enterprise portal installation above the CRM & EBP landscape for Ticket Authentication.
Greetings
John
