Wastage/Scrap treatment on CO-PC

Hi SAP GURU,

My client is using Material Cost Estimate with Quantity Structure (PP u2013 production order) but not providing for waste in BOM as there is abnormal westage in the process that cannot be quantified as % in BOM. Business would like to build up the cost of scrap in standard product cost estimate and do the variance calculation (Plan vs Actual).

Business presently is doing it manually outside the system .It is creating the material code for wastage providing certain percentage as wastage on the consumption of material in each of the process in routing.

Help me to map this business process.
