Assigned budget is not calculated.

Hi,

I have created WBSE and assigned budget to it. Availability control is active for the project.

When I am running report S_ALR_87013558, system does not show any value in budget field and available shows in negative.

Is there any step to be done to remove this inconsistency?

Please throw some light on it.

Regards,

Nilesh

Hi,

May be a foolish thought.. just check whether the system status is having BUDG in it and the AVAC is not activated maually ! Once again open CJ31 and check whether the Budget figure is visible or not. If it is visible in CJ31 and not in S_ALR report, then as suggested in one of the post, try executing CJEN. Irrespective of whether you have the budget released (CJ32 -if Release is used) as mentioned in one of the post, your value must be visible in S_ALR report.

Also, you ensure that you are checking the same WBS element in which the Budget is given. For eg. You have given budget to the Superior WBS whereas you are checking the child WBS in the report !

Hi

Note that all S_ALR_870* are hierarchy reports and are based on object values as well as annual values....

In order to view budget in the report S_ALR_87013558, you have give an original budget and most importantly allocate the budget by WBS Element and distribute it over annual values.

It is only then that you will see that the report will have values populated in the report.

Hope this clarifies your concern

Hi,

Thanks for all your replies.

System status BUDG and AVAC are active for the WBSE.

We are not using budget release functionality. We are assigning budget in CJ30 updating overall values (No annual bugdeting)

I executed t-code CJEN but still problem is there.

Still the report shows budget valuse under 'Overall values' but 'total Budget' shows blank.

While posting an invoice system gives error 'Budget Exceeded'.

Please throw some light on it.

Thanks and Regards,

Nilesh.

Hi,

Negative values will come as:

parent WBSE xyz

child WBSE abc

If budget is allocated to parent only and not to child; and commitments/actuals are booked against child WBSE abc.

Then report will show 0 budget for child wbse abc and -ve value in available.

check is this is not the case.

Harsh.

Dear Nilesh,

Problem 1: Total Budget not coming?

Suggestion: I gess total budget value will get in only fro annual budget an not for overall budget. I alos have overal budget and total budget field is blank still system works fine.

Problem 2: No assinged value?

Suggestion: Please check whether on which cost element you are posting cost whether that are statistcal or ecluded from availability control.

Also check CJ31 Object currency option then assinged value column will appear then check your values there?

Problem 3: Budget Exceeded Error?

Suggestion: If budget exceed error is there then budgeting works fine and availability control also work fine but this is not filt in logic of no assinged value.

So check budget value and what was PR + PO + actual value.

Nilesh

Hi,

Did you assign anual & overall values.?? on S_ALR_87013558 no values on both anual & overall values?

if you use IM - check on IM53, if direct budgeting CJ31 whether values are shown,

Are you using the Budget "release" functionality ( CJ32) ? If yes then I guess you would have to release the budget before having those values. Also , check your Buget profile to see what value ( release or Budgeted) is set as a trigger for availibility control.

If you have values in "assigned" then it should display in reports as well.

If nothing else , run CJEN to remove the inconsistencies that may have occured from you changing the Budget data or config.
