No BEx add on in the excel version

Hi Gurus,

I have a workbook in BW and the user is going in to start menu and BEx analyxzer and open the workbook and refresh.

Now the user has saved some comments and saved the workbook on his desktop. Now when he open his workbook he is unable to log in to BW and refresh BW content as there is no excel add in available.

To open BW workbook he is gaian going thru BEx analyzer and then he has BW data in a BW workbook and his comments on his workbook he saved after last BW data refresh from last month.

What should be done for the user to open his own workbook from his dektop and from there just refresh the 2 BW tabs for current data?

Hi Prasad

I tried what you did and it works.

To open the save workbook:

1. Launch BEx Analyzer from the start menu. This will open an excel session with the BEx menus.

2. In the exec session that opens use the excel file/open menu to open the saved workbook

3. Now you can click refresh on the BEx menu. It may prompt you for logon information if you are not logged on yet
