How to add back the deleted codes in a Code Group.

Hi all,

I deleted a few codes from a Code Group. When I deleted them, they disappeared from the config, but they still exist in the table QPCD with the "Record Inactive (INAKTIV)" flag as checked.

(After deletion, I saved the config, logged out and logged back in).

Now I am trying to add the same codes back into config, but the system says "An entry already exists with the same key".

1. Can i delete the entries/codes completely so that they don't show up in the table QPCD?

2. How can I add back those same codes/entries into the code group?

Note: I made sure these codes are not assigned to any of the objects.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Shashikanth Nallu,

This probably because of the way you have configured the catalog category(Define catalog). You have probably selected "De-activate" check box for this category. When this is selected, whenever you delete a catalog group or catalog code assigned to this category, the system will not delete this from the database and set the de-active flag for this object. This is to prevent reusing this value again.

You probably will not be able to recreate value this even if you reset this check box for the catalog category.

Thanks Narsimhan, I was not able to re-create the values, but I now know the reason - the values were not being deleted from the database tables as I had the "DEACTIVATE" button checked for that Catalog.
