Hi All,
Is there a possibility to have SAP automatically change the Sample Inspection lot % defined in the Sampling procedure based on some pre-defined rules. Lets say for instance a Vendor has continuously provided materials with defective quality. The Sample % set in the Sampling Procedure is currently 10%. This now needs to be increased to 20%. Is there a way for the system to determine that this needs to be changed and do so accordingly based on some rules.
Regards,
Imran
One possibility is using Q Info records,
For vendor with quality issues, use Q Info record to trigger different inspection type (using status profile)
Define different sample % for each inspection type.
When quality issues are resolved by vendor, set the deletion flag in Q Info record.
Other possibility is to use vendor specific inspection plan.
In QP02 maintain different inspection plan for vendor with quality issues. You can have different sampling procedure for different inspection plans.

sample size is always base don the Inspection lot Quantity.
There are specific ways with which we can define sample type like
sampling scheme : based on lot size
percentage ,100% & fixed sample :again based on lot size
There is no way you can vary the sample size
But depending upon the severity in sampling scheme you can vary the sample size....means for same lot size & different severity you have different sample size. !!
