Hi

You can run CK11N for purchased products.. However, if the price control is not S, it wont be of any use...

depending on your valuation variant, if the price exists for the material - The cost estimate would go through

Hi Ajay,

Thank you for the response. For our client the purchased parts are always price control V .In that case will we be able to run CK11N for the purchased products. Could you please reply.

Hi Lavanya

Yes, you can run the cost estimate.. But the Std cost would nt be of any use because your Price Control is V

Hello Ajay,

Could you please explain why the Price Control V is not of any use for cost estimate and but will have effect for Price Control S. Also we are able to run a report which shows the BOM underneath with prices for purchased parts with price control V.

Can you please help me with the answers. Thanks in advance.

Hi Lavanya,

The objective of running a std cost estimate is to arrive at a standard price takiing into consideration the actual RM and activity consumptions during a specific period. If you are having price control V(moving average price) , even if you do std cost estimate, mark and release, still your transactions will be happening in Moving average price only. So it does not make any sense to have a price control V and to carry out std cost estimate unless your objective is only to compare the moving average price with std price.

Best Regards

Std Cost will impact your inventory valuation and COGS only when price control is S

WIth V - It wont play any role except for Information Sake
