Stock allocation

Hi experts,

The customers in the company where I am working, are divided into two customer groups. Due to the nature of business, these groups compete with each other for the stocks. Please suggest me a suitable method / process for allocating stocks to both these customer groups.

Hi,

Use Standard process of product allocation ( one more type Availability check) this will match your requirement and std LIS Structure is S140.

Guys pls dont jump to User Exits. SAP is beautiful package,

Define 2 storage locations for each customer group and post goods according to the business requirement- means allocation of sctocks. you may need to write logic in sales order userexit to determine storage location based on customer group.

But what about the ATP check. As I understand ATP check is done at plant level.

Availability check performs after plant & storage location determination. So Standard system will takecare of this.
