Formabsenc does not trigger next event, approve or reject.

Hello,

I know that the formabsenc triggers another event after the user saves the form absence. I am refering to the approve/reject of the form absence.

My problem is that this thing does not happen.

I have created a simple workflow with an activity. It has the object type, Formabsenc. I execute the workflow and send the form absence notification to a user, but after the user saves the form absence, i am not receiving the mail with "Approve notification of absence". The user receives a mail that the notification was not approved, in the deadline messages.

Thank you very much.

Hi Efren23,

I think there are some issue's in the template Designing of the workflow.

You may wrongly insert the deadline notification in the Approved branch.

In the Graphical workflow log, check how the workflow is executed and what are all the steps are executed like that.

Thanks,

Viji.

Hi,

I am not doing anything with the approval. I saw a video on utube with the creation of a workflow and I tried to implement it( it is posted by an asian guy).

Here are the steps I made:

- I entered in swdd and created an activity in the Undefined step;

- I created a new task in the control menu; it has the object type Formabsenc and the method Create;

- in the agents tab i selected Workflow Initiator;

- in the agent assignment i assigned a user, which is my user; in the attributes, general forwarding allowed was selected;

After these steps, i activate and run the workflow. I receive an email with "Create notification of absence" and i save it. The next step should be receiving the mail with "Approve notification of absence". I am not receiving it.

If i view the workflow log it says the workflow is completed. If i double click on the create absence form in the log, in the completed activities i see Create absence form, and no other activity in the Activities. I think the approval should also be there,no? Probably that is why i am not receiving the mail with the Approval. But why is that? I thought the method Create automatically triggers the Approval. This is also happening in the video i saw. But in my case, it seems it is not.

Thank you very much,

Efren

Hi,

You need to create a separate step type for Approve notification of absence.

Also ensure whether the SWU3 configured properly.

Thanks.

Hi,

And in addition to what viji said, in the workflow step, uncheck advance with dialog to avoid confusion with the screens.
