data mining models as data targets in APD

HI All,

I am working on APD's. I was going through one of the PPT. I have seen they have mentioned that, data can be saved in the data targets like

1. DSO ( direct dso)

2. Flat file

3. Info object

4. Data mining models.

Iam not clear with the 4th data target. I feel data mining models are the process of mining the data ( ABC's, clustering, regression etc). Do they hold the data since they have mentioned these models in the data target list. And even while creating APD we can see these models have been mentioned in the tranformation and in the data target level also.

Can any one give the clarity on this. is this Data mining models are data targets??

Can give an explaination.

thanks and regard

    Hi Eager_ABAP_BI,

Data mining models, which first have to be trained (created) are treated like a data target. In this case, execution (transformation) of the data mining model takes place only after training, A model can have two states, that is, either New or Trained. If the model is new we cant use that as a Data Target
