Suppression of Freight on the invoice

Hi thr,

We have a requirement where the customer should not see freight on the invoice and we run reconciliation at the end of the month and let the customer know the freight that has to be paid. So, we decided to use a discount condition type and reverse the freight, so it will be supressed on the invoice.

My question here is, it is not a genuine discount that we are giving to the customer, so should I put the account key in the pricing procedure. If I use the same account key as that of the freight, the net value will be zero, which is not correct.

So, is it Ok to have condition in a pricing procedure without account key?

Thanks so much for your help !!

Why don't you think of something similar to [REBATE|http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/ERPLO/REBATE+AGREEMENTS].

Where the condition type will have also accrual account key with freight accounting key.

The amount will be accrued to customer and based on you settlement method or duration you ask the customer for the same.

You can have Cond Type w/o any account key based business requirement, but there will not be any accounting interaction for the that Cond Type.

    Thanks & Regards

    Hi Swetha,

The simplest and easiest way I can think of to deal with this issue would be to calculate thie freight as you wold do normally and let it be posted to a particular freight G/L.

Since you dont want this to be displayed in the Invoice, tell your ABAPer not to pick the Freight condition type in Invoice smartform. Ask him to display all other condition types except freight condition type in the invoice smartform.

This way at the end of the month you can run a Z report based on VBRK and KONV tables to get how much freight the customer needs to pay in a particular month.

    Regards,

    Rohan.
