WebDynpro not showing data in table

I have a table inside a tray. I load data into the table, and it shows the displaying 1-X of Y rows message. It also shows the radio buttons to select a row from the table, but none of the data is displayed. If I close and re-open the tray the data appears. If I load new data, the data disappears again until I close and reopoen the tray. What am I missing?
