How to replace SAP Logo on screens?

Former Member

Hi!

I need your help on how to put customer-specific logo on the screen replacing the SAP Logo(with the ripple). Is this possible? If it is, is it also possible to do this only for some custom programs only? How would this be done in ABAP, say, in a module pool program?

Thanks in advance!

Best regards,

Mervin

Hi Mervin

If I understood right, the file you want (picture file for the logo on top-right of every screen) is on each PC having the SAP GUI. Search SAP directories for it. However, I think it will not be possible to switch it with respect to programs.

Hi Mervin,

Perhaps this may be of assistance to you:

-From transaction SMW0, select Binary data for WEBRFC applications.

-The new logo must be in a .gif format.

-From this transaction create a new object and then choose IMPORT.

-You must then specify the path to the .gif object you have saved, and select the option to TRANSFER.

-Then maintain table SSM_CUST via SM30.

-Change the field START_IMAGE to the name of the object you created in SMW0 and you'll have your new logo

I hope this helps.

I have followed the instructions to use SWM0 and SM30 to change the splash logon screen on two different machines. I cannot get my logo.gif file to show up. The original splash wave is no longer there but my image does not show up. What could I be missing?

One thing I found different is that the instructions say "CHANGE the field START_IMAGE..." Neither one of my installations had that field listed. I had to add it first. I have also assigned internet explorer as the mime type editor for gifs and when I edit my gif, I see it with no problem, but it does not show up when I log in.

ideas?

Thanks

If the logo you want replaced is the one at the right-top of your screen, you must edit a bmp file in EACH of your client-computers.

That bitmap is in your theme directory

\SAP\FrontEnd\SapGui\themes\*usedtheme\sapalogo.bmp

It's an animation, you will need to modify all frames (I did not tried to delete all these frames except one, maybe it works).

Hi Judith,

I'm impressed. Is there nothing you can't find an existing link to?

If I posted a question asking "Whats the meaning of life?" I guess you'd find a link for that also.

Cheers,

Brad
