EREC : assign candidate to requisition

Hello,

We want to implement the function "assign candidate to requisition". I search a documentation with the SAP standard process flow of this function and if it's possible a description of the needed customizing.

Does someone implemented this function ?

Dominique

    Hello Dominique,

For assiging a candidate, you need to do activities to the candidates, then the candidate would be assigned automatically.

You have to do the customizing related to Processes, Activities types, Activities etc. Some standard activities should also be there. But you can assign the candidates in this way.

    Best Regards,

    Deepak...

    Hello Dominique,

You mean the functionality from the different services like POWL queries, search and so on?

      Hello Nicole,

I will implement the functionality to assign a candidate from the TRM to a requisition.

The goal is to find a candidate in the TRM, assign it to a requisition, send a letter to ask if it is interessting for this requisition.

The candidate must connect to e-recruiting (maybe with a link in the letter) and decide to release the candidacy or not.

I found some parts of this function but I havn't an overview of the differents steps and what I must customize to implement this funtionnality.

I created a smartforms, an activity to send the letter (must be this activity for TRM or candidacy ?), I can add a candidate to a requisition but the candidate cannot see this candidacy, .....

This process it's a "nebulous" for me because I search documentation but without success.

When you have some informations for me it was great

      Thanks for your help

    Hi Dominique,

I assume you are on EhP4. The assigning doesn't need special customizing and is done in the TRM search with button "Assign" - "Assign to a requisition". Then it depends on what this activity is - is it a TRM activity or one which is linked to the application/candidacy? Because the TRM activities can be easily created in the candidate profile (candidate name link in the TRM search). The other activities must be created from the requisition assignment screen, so you need to be in the support team of the requisition you assigned to this candidate. In that case you can go to the assignment screen -> choose the candidate and create the activity you want.

So it depends on what process you want to fulfill with that activity because it isn't clear to me what you mean by "to decide to release the candidacy or not' because if a recruiter assigns a candidate to a requisition the candidcy mustn't be released, it is 'valid' from the start.

    Regards

      Hello Nicole,

I understand your explanation but it's doesn't work on our system.

      a) The candidate doesn't see the application on the profile (on the tab my application)

      b) How can the candidate decide if he is interrested with this requisition ? I suppose that the recruiter must send a letter to the candidate so he can read the job description and decide.

I send you directly some printscreens from our system so it's more clear for you.

      Thanks for your help

    Hello Dominique,

The reason why you don't see that assignments in the application list on the candidate screens is that this is not an application technically but a candidacy (if you do the assignment as a recruiter). You can overcome this eg. by sending in such cases automatically the activity 'invite to apply'. So if the candidate applies, an application is created and he/she will see that also on the 'my applications' list.

    Regards

    Nicole

      Hello Nicole,

Thanks for your explanations. I understand why the candidate doen't see the candidacy but It's not clear of should work the process.

      My understanding is :

      - The candidate release he's profile on the TRM

      - The recruiter find this candidate, select it and assign it to a requisition

      - Than a candidacy is created on the system with the conséquences :

      a) The recruiter can't distinguish, on the dashboard, if it's a candidacy or a application

      b) The candidate can't see anything on her user interface

      - The recruiter create the activity "Invite to apply" and send a letter to the candidate to invite it to apply.

      - When the candidate apply, an application is create on the system and the application appear in the interface

      Questions :

      - How can the recruiter distinguish an application or a candidacy on the dashboard ?

      - How can the candidate create an application direct on the candidacy ?

      - The activity "Invite to apply" is an activity for the candidate selection or for the TRM ?

I search some documentation with a clear description of this process and the differents step for the customizing but I found nothing.

      - Do you have a documentation about this process and how we must configure it (with type of activity, the content of the letter, ...) ?

      Thanks for your help

    Hello Dominique,

The recruiter sees if it is an application in the dashboard by colum 'application'. If there is a number shown a candidate object exists. If it is just an assignment (candidacy) this field is empty.

By applying to the assigned requisition.

Invite to apply is a job activity (candidate slection).
