Hi All

User Want to Upload the Flat File Directly in to SAP BI and see the report immediately, But we are not going to provide the authorizations to user directly to upload the data, How is it possible

Hi,

The requirement stated is on a very abstract level. So its hard to give a concrete solution.

Some points to remember :-

1. The Flat File data volume :- if the data volume is less, you can use a DSO for staging the data. For high data volume you can use a write optimized DSO.

2. The Flat file can be stored at a server and an Infopackage can be scheduled to load the data.

3. if multidimensional reporting is needed, report in a multiprovider.. (after data is stored in the cube).... {incorporating future changes will b easier}

4. Authorization issue :- Authorization can be implemented at the report level. Either by assigning the report to a particular role menu or using analysis authorization.

Hi Ramu,

You could create a virtual cube on your flat file datasource. Create the reports on this cube and provide users report authorizations. This way they dont have to load any data and you dont have to bother about authorizations
