Reposting of One Profit center to another under New General Ledger

Dear Sapguru,

We have activated New GL accounting and assigned the scenario to update Profit center. The scenario to update Cost center is not assigned. With the new GL activating, the PCA is not activated to avoid duplicate records.

Certain cost centers have been reassinged to new Profit center.

We are planning to move the historical data from old profit center to the new one.

How this is possible under New GL account particularly when the scenario to update cost center is not activated.

Thanks in Advance.

You will have to pass a JV in FI.... W/o the JV, the values cant be shifted from one PC to another PC

or Create a Dist Cycle in FAGLGA31 and use the Dist Rule = Fixed Amounts... Using this, you can shift the amount from one PC to another

    • Hi Ram

System does not allow to post a JV w/oi CO object

You can at best choose KB11N to shift from One CO Object to another.. however, in this process, you will have to choose another cost center as you have changed the PC in the original Cost center

To my mind, what I suggested above is the only possible solution... You can await comments from other forum members
