Why not de-activate the password check functionality when report is executed in background?

Make use of system field SY-BATCH to check the report run type.

it has a password on screen and it is cancelling? the password wasn't saved as part of a variant for execution? Why not create a variant with the password entered?

How is the program being executed? from a transaction or Sx38? If so, if user chooses background, is the password not entered prior to choosing background?

Why does the program/transaction not have a application and authorization group in attributes that controls which users may execute?
