Hi all,

We have a case wehere we need to deactivate a Retail specfic system to get back to ERP functionality.

I have read across various literature that "Once activated, Retail switch cannot be reverted" etc etc, but we believe that this is possible.

If someone has done this work or has any inputs on the same, kindly send in your valuable comments.

Wamr regards

Gaurav

Dear Gaurav,

I trust you are doing good buddy.

Well, I never heard from anyone that there is any going back once "retail switch" is activated as it not only the availability of new functions and terms around article and site, for example but there will be change in the structure of tables as well. New tables will be generated when the retail switch is activated and a Material ledger become redundant with it as an example.

Please check the below thread, might be a bit helpful.

There could be a rude way to bring this change but will carry lot of risk. If you will get successful to find a way to reverse it, please let me know as well.

All the Best.

Kind Regards,

Kunwar

I am aware that this thread is kind of old. I agree that the activation of the retail bf set is not reversible.

But if you still want to try, here is some thought:

- you build a pure ERP system (e.g. fresh installed system)

- you activate the retail bf set AND you log the changes made

- you use the logs to switch things to non-retail on your original system

- (optional finally you tinker the switch framework, that it thinks the bf is not activated)

Of course this procedure is absolutely non-official, never tested and you will encounter a lot of problems. In a lot of cases you will just screw up the system and loose all support from SAP. Theoretically i am certain, it could be done, but i don't want to go there anytime.

Cheers Michael
