tan no not active for this period form 16

hi experts

when i go to easy access pc00_m40_f16 and executing the tan no not active for this period and also let me know what are the steps to be taken in to consideration, did all challan mapping , feature 40 ecc also

can anyone guide me what are the steps to do,

Regarding the query,

For the switch TANK please go through the below explanation:

SAP has provided this functionality as an optional

functionality so it will be your decision to activate this or not.

Form 16 of the employee will not change because of this.

if you have one company and one TAN then you can use the existing

feature only.

Please keep this in mind that this switch should be activated from the

begining of the financial year when no payroll has been run for the emp.

You can not change the TAN no of the employee once you had run the

payroll as the employee tax is deposited from the earlier TAN no only.

If you only activate the TANK and do not maintain the 0185 then

you will get an error while running the payroll.

Form 16 will read the TAN no from IT185 subtype 05.

You can not change the TAN no of the employee once you had run the

SAP has introdued this functionality as in many customer the TAN no is

not based on the company code.

If you activate the TAN no functionality then TAN no. is mandatory for

the employee. It is customer decision if they want to implement this

functionality or not.

Hi Sai,

If you are getting the message 'switch to TAN based reporting not active for this period', then that is only the information message. You can ignore this mssage if you are executing form 16 based on company code. Please run the transaction again and let me know if any other error persists.

Hello Sai,

Please make sure that TAN no should be maintained for every employee. Also please activate the switch through txn. PC00_M40_SWCH.
