XI 3.0 installation SAPDB required

Is SAPDB still required for Integration Builder 3.0 on Oracle....XI 2.0 required SAPDB.

I can't seem to find this in the installation manual stating this clearly....

Thanks

John Ryan

    Hi John,

XI 3.0 does not require SAP DB. I have it running completely on Oracle 9.0.4, but MS SQL is also possible.

    Greetings,

    Frank Deijkers

    John,

SAPDB was a requirement for a couple of XI components in version 2.0

For 3.0, SAPDB is not a requirement. You can deploy all XI components with Oracle backend, if this is your db of choice.

    Regards,

    Homiar.

    Hi,

I have downloaded and installed the following for the enterprise portal on my machine.

SAP Enterprise Portal 6.0 SP4 NetWeaver Stack 04 Developer Sneak Preview

SAP Web Application Java Server 6.40 SP7 for MS SQL Server

    SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio 2.0.7

    SAP Enterprise Portal 6.0 SP6

    SAP Knowledge Management 6.0 SP6

I want to work on XI on the above configuration.

Could you please tell me what are the additional software or patches that are required to enable XI 3.0 on the above configuration and also can you please tell me the links for downloading the additional software or patches that are required to enable XI 3.0.

I also downloaded version of the Sneak Preview SAP Web Application Server Java 6.40 for MS Windows 2000 and XP.

    My email address:iam4sap@yahoo.com

    ThanksInAdvance,

    Varma.
