Excise updation Issues

Dear Guru,

I need your expert advice for how to capture following scenario in standard SAP.

According to the normal business process of my client the material is stored in outside storage location (outside of excise area) of one Plant and It has been driven from outside storage location to plant storage location (inside excise areas) on demand basis. So the Part 1 is update on every time when GR occurs and the Part 2 is updating on the completion of full lot.

For Example: We received Material u201CAu201D of Quantity 100 Kgs. in u201CSL-1u201D (outside storage location) of one plant u201CP1u201D which is not excise able area. Then we want to transport the required quantity of material u201CAu201D on demand basis from u201CSL-1 u201Cto u201CSL-2u201D(Plant storage location)of same plant u201CP1u201D which is on excisable area and at the time of GR the part 1 will update. In this manner when we made the GR of Last lot of 100 Kgs the Part 2 will update.

Kindly replay with the detailed process how to capture in std. SAP.

Thanks and Regards

Arun

    Dear Kailash/Manish,

Thanks for your early response and with regards to your answer please find the following scenario and kindly validate the same whether it is right or wrong...???

Step-1 : Create STO (Plant to Plant).

    Step-2 : Post Goods Issue through VL10B and VL02N.

    Step-3 : Creation of Excise Invoice (J1IIN)

    Step-4 : Goods Receipt (MIGO)

Step-5 : Capture Excise Invoice on Goods Receipt Manually (J1IEX),Part-1 Only captured.

Step-6 : Post Excise Invoice after Full Lot comes in to the factory (J1IEX), Part-2 Posted.

It will be appreciated if other respected guru can share their advise in the above scenario.

    Waiting for your valuable replays.

    Thanks and regards

    HI Arun,

To Map the Mentioned scenario the general Practice is to Create 2 separate Plant,

One which fall's after the excise area ( Say XXXX) , Other within excise area ( Say YYYY), Make a goods receipt against at Plant XXXX for the material & create STO as per the demand for Plant YYYY , While Receiving the Goods as Plant YYYY , Excise will get Updated Part One & Part II.

    Regards

    Mascot.

    Hi

As you know in J1ID we maintain excisable plant and vendor, storage location wont come in picture

If you want to catch this scenario then you have to create two plant or

store your material in other plant storage location and on demand do STO for receiving material so you can capture excise

Dear Kailash...thanks for providing the link and it seems perfect and equivalent as the steps I posted earlier.

But my simple question is that can we capture the Part-1 on Individual GR and capture/post Part-2 on last GR of that Particular lot in this manner, which is our utmost requirement ?????

any other gurus advice will be appreciable....!!!!!!!

    Thanks and Regards

    Arun
