    Dear weatboy

These iViews display data for selected employees from infotype Monitoring of Tasks (0019). The following data is displayed (infotype fields):

    · Status (New task, Task in process, and Task completed)

    · Date

    · Reminder

    · Task

    There are two iViews:

    ● One for General Information

    ● One to call the iView Reminder of Dates. In this case, the system opens a separate page (

This iView is integrated into the work center Team under the service General Information.

The following applies for the Employee Profile:

    · In the Employee Search iView, the manager selects the employee whose data is to be displayed in the iView Monitoring of Tasks.

    · You can determine the tabular display of an employeeu2019s task types according to the personalization settings.

The following applies for the iView Reminder of Dates:

    · The personnel number, start and end date, and selected task type are transferred by the Reminder of Dates iView.

    · The iView is displayed in a separate window.

    · The selected tasks are displayed in a table.

    · The employeeu2019s name is displayed above the table.

    Hope this help you.

guys I think weatboy here wants to know if reminder of dates will owrk within an ess role as well,.. so the answer is :

    1. yes subject to conditions : you may need to do a nice little piece of oadp config which also has a small little function module attached to ensure pernr of the ess user is passed on to the iview then show data pertaining to the ess-user only,... and well if ess-user has the need to see data pertaining to other team members again a little tweaking to the above should work. finally homepage config to call that iview from within an ess role needs to be done.

    2. no: take athe above point with a pinch of salt as I have not done the above myself (personally however I dont see why it will not work from a logical perspective, you may want to try it out before giving an affirmation to your client)

reminder of dates picks dates from It0019

This iView allows a manager to display the following data for his or her employees, including:

    ● Birthdays

    ● Service anniversaries

    ● Dates from the Monitoring of Tasks infotype (0019)

The data is displayed in tabular form. The table contains the following columns:

    ● Date (an asterisk next to the date indicates a reminder for a task from infotype 0019).

    ● Event

    ● Employee Name

The evaluation period is always a calendar month.

The employee name includes a link, which enables the manager to display in a separate window more detailed information on the employee. The General Data iView from the service General Information is called as standard.

The Event column can display links to data from the infotype Monitoring of Tasks (0019). This link enables managers to display the iView Monitoring of Tasks from the General Information service in a separate window.

This iview is MSS based! It selects the number of employees manager has and then displays the employee under him

Well you have to modify the FM which gets the employees ie wh

    it would be done in

. The default value delivered by SAP is 'MSS_ROD_SEL1' -

employees within the area of responsibility

    Object Selection ID' to 'MSS_TMV_EE_DIR'

You have different options to reduce the number of employees to be

A meaningful subset of employees the data should be evaluated for might

be the 'Direct Reports' (A) or the 'Reports up to a certain level' (e.g.

2 or 3) (B). This can easily be reached by - changing iView parameter

'Object Selection ID' to 'MSS_TMV_EE_DIR' in case of alternative (A) -

    only direct reports.

In case of alternative (B) by - defining your own Object Selection ID

with an own 'Object Selection Rule for Target Objects' on basis of

    function module 'HRWPC_GET_DIREPS_OF_LEVEL_2' resp.

'HRWPC_GET_DIREPS_OF_LEVEL_3'. As 'Object Selection Rule for Root

Objects' value 'MSS_ROD_RULE1' should be appropriate. The definition of

own Object Selection IDs has to be done in the corresponding backend R/3

system. After defining the new Object Selection ID in the backend you

can change the corresponding iView parameter in the portal. For more

information about setting up your own Object Selection ID resp. Rule,

see the Implementation Guide (IMG) under 'Object and Data Provider

    ->Object Provider'.

    • Vikas:

Thank you for a very straight-forward explanation to doing this. The same question came up here. I attempted this configuration but it didn't work, but I think I know why. Would you please confirm based on your configuration?

In order for this solution to work, must you maintain date for the A208 relationship between P and US? It doesn't appear that we maintain that here.

      Thank you,
