SAP BW Query connected to a WebI Report - BW Variables not passed

Hi,

I am currently using BOE XI 3.1 SP3 and SAP BW Query to pass data to a WebI Report via Universe.

My understanding is SAP BW Variables would automatically appear in the webI report but this does not seem to be the case. I have got some mandatory and optional variables in the query and when I execute the WebI report they dont seem to be called - the report just runs as usual.

The only one that does seem to be called in the "Query Key Date Variable" - for master data.

Anyone help?

Hi,

As per the thread I moved all the variables to the "Characteristic Restrictions" to allow the variables to be passed to the report. Does this mean that not variables will ever be passed from the "default variables" area?

Hi,

variables that are ready for input will appear in the Universe and in the report.
