Hi All,
I have a header containing a lot of standard texts and shipment specific teksts that can be short or very long.
So the header of my document can take up more then half a page or just a quarter depending on it's contents.
The header should be repeated on every page.
Originally I added the header on my masterpage and then it was displayed on every page.
But there was no way to dynamically make the content area bigger or smaller depending on the height of the header.
So I tried to use the "overflow leader" function on my data subform and set it to "header".
However all my subforms in the header are no longer flowed - westerntext.
They all start at the same place, so it's completely messed up.
I found comments i should make the header text positioned but then I'll have the same problem as I had with using the masterpage + contentarea.
I hope someone could help me further with this issue.
Thanks in advandce!
Kind regards,
Tim

Hi Time,
My suggestion is that drag and drop 'subform' on master page and put all header content into this 'subform', then set this subform from 'Positioned' to 'Flowed', if so, the height of header will be dynamially changed according to the Header content.

Hi Xiaodong Zhu ,
Thank you for your answer,
However I think you do not understand my problem.
Everything on my page is flowed.
The problem is when i put my header on the masterpage is the i can only place the contentholder for page at 3/4 of the page
So there will be only 1/4 of the page available for items. If i don't do this my items might overlap when i got a lot of information in the header.
So unless you know a way to dynamically calculate the size of the contentholder on the page (containing the items)
your proposed solution will not work for me.
Thank you for your feedback anynway.
Kind regards,
Tim
Hello Tim,
I'm afraid that it is not possible in Adobe Designer. To save the effort of investigating the issue, here's recommentation from Adobe:
Always set up overflow leader and trailer subforms to Positioned content and deselect the Allow Page Breaks option. Otherwise, the rendered form may contain errors such as duplicate headers or overlapping fields.
