OpenDocument and Tokens Not Released in IE8

Not sure if this is the right place as I'm new to this forum.

We have Crystal Reports Server XI at the College and are trying to link directly to reports using OpenDocument rather than using Infoview. The majority of users have IE8 installed on their machines.

Although we can link directly to a report each time we do this a licence token is burned on the server. The user closes down the report but the token does NOT appear to be released. With 15 user tokens these soon get used up and users get messages about all concurrent users being used and not able to access reports etc. etc. - leading to helpdesk calls and general frustration !

I've done a general web search but can't find a single mention about this problem - is it something unique to us, or is it a general problem ?? In either case does anyone have a solution

    Hi,

please check SAP Note - 1205886

Please Note also: IE 8 is not a supported Browser for CRS XI. It could be that the SAP Note only runs with supported Browsers.

    Regards

    -Seb.

      Hi,

Thanks for the answer - obviously not the one that I wanted. We have the listener enabled as per. the note but it does not appear to work as user tokens increment and are not release.
