Can we make any infotype mandatory?

Dear All,

Can we make 105 Infotype as Mandatory during hiring process ?.

If, user wants to skip that infotype, system should not allow.

Please advise.

hi,

I think we can achieve this with the help of the ABAPrs.... we have 2 mandatory infotytypes like Actions (oooo ), Org. assignment(0001). by taking the reference of these two infotypes especially Actions (0000) they can acheive this scenario..

Hi,

We had the same issue, but as informed by many experts, there is no standard tool for it except for user exits.

Ask the ABAPer to use the user exit to show a pop-up screen which will not allow the mandatory infotype to be skipped without saving it.

This is how we did resolve it and have some kind of control over it.

Hi,

I don't think it is possible to make an infotype mandatory during a personnel action.

You can make the fields mandatory, yes, but if the user presses the "Next Infotype" button, then he/she can skip maintaining IT0105.

Developing a control report which sends the employees without IT0105 to the HR team would suffice, I guess.

As Lata says, you can do this through a User Exit.

There is no standard way of make an whole infotype mandatory.

You can try Tcode SE51 (screen Painter) and make the fields mandatory. you need access key for this.
