Cross Domain Policy

Hallo,

I try to run a Webservice/Functionmodule, QAAW but I get a cross domain policy alert!

I've done the instruction on that page

http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/EmTech/Addcrossdomain.xmlontherootofSAPWebapplication+server

with this XML file

<?xml version="1.0"?>

http://www.adobe.com/xml/dtds/cross-domain-policy.dtd">

<cross-domain-policy>

" secure="false" to-ports=""/>

</cross-domain-policy>

is everything good in the file or do I have to change the syntax?

    Gutton Morgan,

    Try by giving a Wild card expression in the doamin, please refer the following

    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <!DOCTYPE cross-domain-policy SYSTEM
    "http://www.macromedia.com/xml/dtds/cross-domain-policy.dtd">
    <cross-domain-policy>
       <allow-http-request-headers-from domain="*" headers="*" secure="false" />
       <allow-access-from domain="*" secure="false" />
    </cross-domain-policy>

    You haven't mentioned where you have palced cross-domain.xml file.

    If you are deploying your dashboard on QaaWS i suggest you to give a relative path for Web Service URL.

    [Note: Update the link which comes after importing the WSDL....... Update the second Webservice URL link in QaaWS Connection within the Xcelsius]

    Let me know this helped you or not.

    relative path is nothing but removing the server-name and port from your web service link

    Ex:

    Normal link: http://<Server-name>:<Port-No>/dsdw...................

    Relative path: /dsdw/..............

    Hope this might help you.

    Regards,

    AnjaniKumar C.A.

      Gutton Tag

      By the way on which server he is deploying the XML file ?

      Ask him to place the Cross-domain.xml in the Root folder (For example if its Tomcat then that Crossdomain.xml file should be in the Root folder)

      The relative path will work only if you run the dashboard on Infoview.

      Any how please ensure after placing the Crossdomain.xml restart the server i.e Tomcat or whatever the Webserver u use.
