Dear All,

I have configure early watch report in solution manager.

1. I have created new service for our production server.

2. click on newly created service

3. Press button "call Service Data Control Center"

4 System ask for prodction password.

5 now SDCCN's screen of production server open.

6. Create a new task "Refresh sessions" with selecting "Now" option.

7. Start a New task is created.

8. Task is complited successfuly but sessio data not transmited to solution manager.

I have also tried with "Start service processing. But still service is in "wait for session data". This status remains same as newly created service.

Request you to please suggest solution

Thanks in advance,

Nirav

Hello,

When you press call Service Data Control Center, is it that there is a red flag for the EWA and when you click it you get that button? This means the EWA is scheduled in Solman, but on the managed system there is an issue with the SDCCN EWA task or the *_BACK RFC.

First, the Maintenance Package task is what should be schedyuled daily. It will 1 Refresh the service defintions regularly and aslo perform a refresh sessions task. You should not be scheduling the refresh session task ( unless you want to send to SAP or a second Solution Manager sytem).

The refresh session task will create an EWA task, and you did not mention this task was created from the refresh session task.

If the EWA task is not created on the satellite once the refresh session is run, then there was no session. This would indicate an error in SMSY defintions, such as the installation number there does not maych the actual installation number, as a for instance.

SDCCN task logs have to be looked at as they may have errors inside, but the task has a green check.

Hi

Please ensure your back RFC correctly configured. (like COrrect client SID,trusted connection, user auth)

if all fine , still you face issue please apply the sap note 727998 .

As stated in the note please refresh your service definitions(delete and areplace them) in both solman and satellite system and try.

Thanks,

I have checked everything.

I have also delete and replace defination from SDCCN in both 1st in Solman and after that in my production system.

But data is not transmitted to solman.

I have check check RFCs on both the server. *_BACK RFC is also OK.

There is no error in SDCCN log.

Only one query I have may be problem relates to that.

When I manualy click the service (which is RED flag) and at that time while soonect to SDCCN of setellite system system asks password of settelite system. After giving password it connect to SDCCN.

Hi Nirav,

I am also facing problem, I did below activities now it's working fine.

1.go to T code - SMSY

2. select System -> select change mode regenerate RFC

3. then go to t code -> DSWP select your system -> call service data control center -> select Utilities -> manintain service definition - select delete and replace service definition once done

4. create refresh sessions and maintanance package

5. again go to DSWP create new servce session

6. you will get EWA report.

Hello,

Now report is generated and transfer to Solution manager with Yellow grade.

The problem is with Installation Number of production server in SMSY.

Now the received result shows "Session Data sent to SAP".

Is this report directly sent to SAP also ?

Hi,

If the overall rating of the SAP EarlyWatch Alert is red, the service results will automatically

be sent to SAP Support. If all sessions are rated yellow or green, results will be sent to SAP

Support once every four weeks.

Since the reports provide a history of a systemu2019s performance, EarlyWatch Alert aids the

analysis of performance related problems which may occur.

Dear Kalees,

Thanks for your reply.

Can we restrict that ?

We don't want to sent it to SAP.

Thanks and Regards,

Hello Nirav,

I am glad to have solved your problem by stating earlier to check the Installation number in SMSY is the same as on the system.

You did that and got your report. So, you really should have closed this thread, and opened a new question.

How do you restrict EWA for being sent to SAP....TA solman_ewa_admin and uncheck the Send EWA to SAP check box.

This way no EWA data will be sent to SAP. There will be a check box for the Solution and each system in the solution.

Now I have answered your second question.

You are welcome.

Please open a new post for further questions, you may want to review rules of engagement.
