Hi SM,
If you wish to use DB2 on LUW, a good place to start is http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/db6
Here there are quick, easy to navigate links to SAP installation guides, software lifecycle management and useful DB admin manuals, notes etc.
Best Regards,
Paul
Hi SM,
To download DB2 LUW (Linux, Unix and Windows) go the the download centre:
http://service.sap.com/swdc > Database Patches > DB2 for Unix and Windows
Here you will see links for the various releases of DB2.
Again, I would recommend that you check out the previously mentioned link for DB6's SDN home page.

Paul

The document of choice is the so called Installation Guide, it contains all necessary configurations for the database, filesystem setups plus notes.
There is no screenshot document available because depending on which installation master DVD you use to install the screens are slightly different, that's why there exists the installation guide.

Hi SM,
The DB installation proceedure is described in the previously mentioned SAP installation guides, there are specfic guides for installing Netweaver based systems on DB2 LUW, just drill down through the installation guides depending on your desired system type. It will guide you on installation, basic configuration resources for the DB.
Also, another useful resource, if you wish to install DB2 seperately first, is using DB2's own wizards (not recommended for someone without experience doing this), refer to the installation topic 'Getting started' at the following address:
http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/db2luw/v9r7/index.jsp
But I would recommend installing directly from SAP media, or there can be directory structure, licensing complexities later on.
BR,
Paul
