Content Activation - Error Solman 7.2

Hi Experts,

Facing an error in Content Activation step "Readiness of Non-Production Content" step in Solman 7.2 system. The step fails and it shows that 1 Source Solution has some issue.

Unfortunately, this Solution did not show any error in PREPARE_ACTIVATION but it throws an error here. Due to which the GP does not proceed and the other content is also left out(its a sequential process)

My generic question is:

-Is there any way we can change the PREPARE_ACTIVATION to edit mode at this stage, so we can de-scope that solution at this stage.

- Is there any way we can skip that Solution at this activation stage and proceed with the rest?

Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi Shaswat,

    It is common to get these kind of errors but you can't pass them unless resolve it.

    What you should notice is there is one error and other are warnings so you need first focus and remove the error and then you can work on warnings as per this screenshot.content-activation-gp-error.jpg

    you may have not maintained it but it may be required as now you are in the stage of merging everything into your solution and this is why it is producing this error.

    Please check the content activation guide to work and resolve these conflicts ...normally you can do this in the earlier activities or you can notice what has been assigned for your new logical component group and adjust them as per case. Check the guide.

    Dear Shaswat,

    it is still possible to descope at this stage. There are several steps. Details are too much for a short answer here. Due to the complexity and possible pitfalls, open an incident with component SV-SMG-IMP-BIM.

    Shaswat,

    Try to create read RFC for listed system and re-execute the steps.

    Make sure you have implemented all the latest note from latest content activation guide.

    If still error exist, As per your diagram error showing in non-prd branch readiness check job, so just go to SOLADM->system landscape ->go to particular error system Logical component group and assign production system to development branch -> development system and re-execute the non-prd readiness step. it will solve the issue.( because you didn't get any issue on PRD branch readiness check.so assign PRD system to dev system for the time being)

    After content activation completion, reassign the development system in maintanance branch.

    Guided Procedure Log -

    It stops at the 2nd source solution (out of 10) , and we would like to proceed with the rest.

    The error shown in SLG1 and GP Log is that a particular LCG does not have RFCs for Role Type "E" (Training System).

    We had not maintained any systems for the corresponding logical component in 7.1, it was an empty LC like many others.

    At the same time, we did not get any warning regarding this is Guided Procedure "Prepare Activation"

    Thanks for your reply.

    This is an issue as we can't descope, and there is no clear guideline how to resolve the issue.

    It is any empty LC, like many others. We have created RFCs now, still the issue doesn't go away.

    We have raised an OSS : 467057/ 2016 , please help us to resolve it.
