Error while doing 552 W

Hello SAP gurus,

I am getting error message u201CCombination of movement type/special stock/stock type is not possibleu201D while doing 552 W. And this error message is only for those materials which are batch managed. If material is not managed by batch then I can do to transaction.

Can someone please help me on this?

Check in OMJJ transaction if the movement type 552 configured to allow special stock 'w'

In OMJJ Everything is fine and we are getting problem only for one material.

552 is scrapping in reverse.

can it be that the batch number you want "create" with this reversal, does not exist in your system?

While doing 552 W for one particular material we getting this error - Combination of movement type/special stock/stock type is not possible.

For other material we can able to post the transaction so my question is u2013 is there any setting in material master where we need to check?

Please help me on this.

I doubt your error is related to master data...I would say no

Was a 551 done on this material? as stated the 552 is reversal of 551, is/was the stock unrestricted, customer consigned material?

You must first be sure that the requirements are there for this movement type before looking further.

you had not answered my question.

if the batch was not in stock before, then it meas that you want the system to create the batch with the 552 movement.

But if this is possible or not is depending on customizing.

I can confirm that 552 W with batch is possible without any error in my system.

For that material 551 W movement is not there. And that material is not batch managed.

So my doubt is u2013 is this the reason because for that material 551 w is not done while doing 552 W we are getting that error message - u201CCombination of movement type/special stock/stock type is not possibleu201D.

We are using MB11.

Hi,

Please check the stock type in this 552 W. Is it unrestricted stock or restricted stock?

552 only support above stock type.

If you use other stock types, system will not allow your to do the posting. Can you please also check

if QM has been activated for the material?

You are confusing me. Initially you wrote that you get this message only for batch managed materials

By the way, it works in my system for both cases, with and without batch managment.

You are right the stock is in QM and QM is not activated for that material so now the issue is solved.
