delivering plant determination in delivery

hello,

within our deliveries packing items (palets) are created from packing instructions (POP/POF).

Usually the delivering plant is determined (as i've now checked in standard from customer master or material master) automatically.

I've a situation here where the delivering plant is not determined despite the fact that the delivering plant is maintained on customer master and material master.

certain about this situation is, that the loading group is also not determined.

any ideas welcome!

Hi,

As far as my understanding if you maintain delivering plant in customer master and/or material master then same will be determined at ITEM LEVEL under SHIPPING TAB.

Table & Field - VBAP & WERKS

Where as the field Deliver.Plant which you can see under SALES tab(initial screen) is used in intercompany sales

where you manually put your delivering plant.

according your explanation, I understand you are creating delivery items for packing material. How the

plant is derived depends of your settings into VHAR transaction for your packing material type.

See "plant determination" field and possible options. F1 more detailed help...

Hi,

thanks for you info - didn't know VHAR and the settings there!

Our settings for determination of plant are A (from material master of packing material) and it is maintained there - BUT not taken to the delivery item!

Certain about this situation is, that the shipping point for this item is different (plant 1200 and shipping point 1201 - instead of standard shipping point 1200).

Is the item relevant for delivery? You can check it up in the schedule line category configuration.

yes it's about an item within the delivery!

the item is created automatically by a packing instruction.

the delivering plant is maintained on customer master and on material master.
