Production Version of NetWeaver Developer Studio

We just got our copy of NetWeaver '04 from SAP. We also have the trial version of Java Web AS/ Net Weaver Developer Studio.

I was wondering if we should begin our J2ee / Web Dynpro development using the trial version of NetWeaver Developer Studio that we downloaded from SDN or is there an offical production version of NetWeaver Developer Studio. If there is an offical version of NWDS, is it included in our installaion media for NetWeaver '04?

Hi Paul,

NWDS is included in standard NW04 distribution - find DVD 51030277: "NW04 - SAP WebAS Java, SAP NWDS, SAP Adobe/IGS"

The reason to use trial version was availability of NW04 - general availability is from Oct 1,2004.

Hello,

but you should download the latest Developer Studio and Developer Workplace currently SP 8 from http://service.sap.com/patches. Installation is described in the "SAP® NetWeaver ’04 Developer Workplace Stack Installation Guide" available at http://service.sap.com/installations -> NetWeaver.
