Schedule Instance failed with Database error

Hi All,

Schedule Failed Instance Error: : The following database error occurred: A database error has occured. For information about this error, please refer to SAP Knowledge Base Article 2054721 on the SAP Support Portal. (IES 10901)

My scheduled report has failed with above error.

We heard that , there could be a lot of reasons for the above mentioned error.

Database Name :Oracle

Kindly let me know ,how to address this issue.

    • Sure Mahboob,

      will do the same and let you know the update asap.

      My query is ,once we confirm that required services are running and enabled ,If we schedule the report and still If we get the same error ,does it mean that issue is with oracle DB team ?

      Suppose ,If the schedule instance get failed , do we need to contact oracle DB Team ? If not ,what's the next step.

      Please let me know your inputs

    Hi Ramanaidu,

    It can be anything related to database, not necessarily something that the DBA team needs to look into. Please run an integrity check on the universe to make sure the datatype of Object and the column in table are same, that might be one of the issues.

    • Some of those mismatches may not effect report schedules, but some mismatches will effect the report schedules as to fail the schedule. Ex: If you've a Date datatype column, whose object is setup as String datatype, and then if you have a filter on the report on the Date object, the schedule will fail due to the mismatch.
