Posting change to same bin.

Dear All,

I have following issue...

1) When I create TO for PCN, system show the message "Mix storage not allowed in storage type" .I activated "mixed storage type not permitted" in storage type as per our requirement so that system should not allow different material/batch in same bin.

But I want that stock category should change in same bin as a result of TO for PCN.

For that I tick "post to same bin" field in storage type & manual entry of bin also but still giving same message.

Is there any option in SPRO so that system should allow to post PCN in same bin?

F1 help for mixed storage field (V_T3010-MISCH):

"___"  Mixed storage is not allowed
       All storage units in a storage bin must contain the same
       material and batch (one quant).

As you can read this setting means ONE quant per storage bin. Same material with stocks of two different stock types mean at least TWO quants.

So, in standard system with "Mixed storage not allowed" setting, your requirement is not possible.

Detail scenario are like below...

GR is always post to quality & there are 2 possibility

1) ( GR to quality >TO for PCN>TO for TR>Destination bin)

If immediate UD happens, we post the stock to U,Reserve,block & sample, in this case we are able to post the stock to destination bin. Here no problem at all.

2) .( GR to Quality >TO for TR>Destination bin>TO for PCN)

Sometime, material will be in the que as quality will take time to do UD(say7-15 days) In this case we post the stock to destination bin first & when quality person get free then they do UD .Here when we create TO for PCN ,

system will not allow to post PCN in same bin becos of using "Mix storage stock no allowed" activated in storage type

As this pharma company, client dont want to mix different batch having same mat.

So, let me know best solution ..

In standard system it is possible that the stock remains in the same binwhen processing the PCN (the quant is removed and then the new quant is posted back to the same bin automatically).

This works even with "Mixed storage not allowed" setting - provided there's only one quant in the bin and the whole quant is processed.

I tried and for me it is working fine (I didn't use UD, only MB1B+321/322). So, I think it is not "Mixed storage not allowed" the cause of your problem.

Hi Csaba,

I tried to change quant in LS22, only GR date, GR No. & Certificate No.are editable , rest of field are gryed out.

This quant only one quant in bin & want to processed all quantity at once..

Can you pls. provide the step & more detail to change the quant data?
