Running Portal Component from Netweaver Developer Studio

Hi,

I have created a JSP Dynpage in SAP Developer Studio 2.0.4

When I was trying to Run the application, I am not getting the Option for executing in the EP6.0 Server.

In EP Perspective, Selected the project and Selected the menu Run--> Run. pop Up window is shown but there is no option for running Portal Archives.

Any Help is highly appreciated...

Hi Suresh,

I would like to know if the developer studio could be used with ep 6 sp2 and do I need to install any plugins for the ep perspective??

I found the solution to this issue by myself.

In the SAP Netweaver developer Studio, Select the project you would like to export to the Ep6.0 Portal Server. Make sure you are in EP Perspective in the IDE, then click on PDK Export Icon. In the next window choose the EP6.0 server to which you would like to export the par file. Before doing this process you need to configure the Server Definition by Choosing Windows->Preferences->SAP Enterprise Portal.

Look at the overview pane of your portalapp.xml (which is located in folder <projectname>/dist/PORTAL-INF)

There you can start your components directly from within DevStudio (of course only if you deployed them before).
